Under the leadership of the National Geopark Network Center Office, 20 global geoparks across the country jointly held an online promotion of "Geopark Research Tour" on July 10, 2022. At the promotion meeting, it was announced that since July, 20 geoparks such as Yandang Mountain, Danxia Mountain, Zhangjiajie and Xiangxi have jointly issued preferential policies such as ticket reduction and exemption for teachers and students of primary and secondary schools, organized live geoparks research and popular science Tours, promoted global geoparks research products, and carried out natural disaster and safety education activities.

The campaign runs from July to August, with some parks continuing until the end of September. The 20 global geoparks participating in the event are Danxia Mountain in Guangdong Province, Yandang Mountain in Zhejiang Province, Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province, Yimeng Mountain in Shandong Province, Huangshan in Anhui Province, Wudalianchi Lake in Heilongjiang Province, Xiangxi Mountain in Hunan Province, Sanqing Mountain in Jiangxi Province, Dunhuang in Gansu Province, Leye-Fengshan in Guangxi Province, Shilin in Yunnan Province, Lushan Mountain in Jiangxi Province, Funiu Mountain in Henan Province, Huanggang Dabie Mountain in Hubei Province, Shennongjia in Hubei Province, Tianzhu Mountain in Anhui Province and Taining in Fujian Province 18 global geoparks in China, including Yuntai Mountain in Henan Province, and two national geoparks (candidate global Geoparks), including Longyan in Fujian Province and Kambra in Qinghai Province.

The 20 global geoparks participating in this activity are distributed all over the country, including colorful geological and geomorphic landscapes - Danxia landform, volcanic landform, Yadan landform, Zhangjiajie landform, karst landform, covering tropical, subtropical, temperate and other climatic zones and ecological environments. There are more colorful cultural elements of Han, Yi, Yao, Tujia, Miao, Zhuang and Tibetan.
